A global FTSE100 company is looking for an Interim Internal communications Channel Manager on a six month contract paying£350 - £400 per day (inside IR35).
Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications, the Channels Manager will lead the development of the company’s internal channels and provide insight to the business.
To effectively support engagement, the Channel Manager will drive design, implementation and, importantly, measurement and insights across a cohesive and streamlined set of core channel categories to support the delivery of the global internal communications strategy, in line with the company purpose, narrative, values, culture and business plan.
The channel categories, which include events such as townhalls, a SharePoint intranet site and suite of tools, email, physical assets, team briefing and digital screens, play a key role in helping to build engagement levels across the organisation. The Channel Manager supports the Head of Internal Communications in managing the main communications channels that are required to support the delivery of the agreed internal communications strategy, objectives and plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Development of the channel strategy covering all priority channels
Partnering with the Head of IC, IC Leads and Network to embed best practise channel usage across the organisation
Optimisation of all channels outlined in the channel strategy, including project management for any channel development programmes
Optimisation of the intranet platform to ensure it stays abreast with organisation’s rapid growth.
Reviewing the current intranet, defining improvement requirements, drafting business case and proposal for sign off (in partnership with IT) and managing/implementing improvements
Scoping for an App partner and pilot to launch alongside an improved intranet platform.
Providing expert advice about maximising the benefit of the channels as key communications tools
Designing an effective measurement framework to monitor and measure all main communications activities
This role has a late February/early March start with a hybrid working model of three days per week in the office (Paddington) and two from home.
