Women in Communications | Thur 14 Mar | London
According to our latest market report, The View, the UK corporate communications industry is predominantly female, making up 64% of the profession. However, our research also indicates that more men reach the Head of/Director level than women. We’d like to open the debate about why this is and what can be done to redress the balance.
Coinciding with International Women’s Day, VMAGROUP we are holding an evening forum on Thursday 14th March at 6pm focussing on Women in Communications.
We are delighted to confirm two inspirational leaders in Communications as keynote speakers:
Aileen Thompson, former Executive Director, Communications at the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, Aileen has also held senior leadership roles in communications and corporate affairs in Innovate UK, Vodafone and Kellogg’s as well as several global agencies.
Mary Walsh, Director of Corporate Communications at Eurostar. Prior to Eurostar, Mary spent 10 years at Lloyds Banking Group originally as Head of Media Relations and then as Director of Corporate Relations. She has also led the PR for Pannell Kerr Forster, and campaigns for a range of corporate and consumer businesses at Ogilvy and Mather.
We hope you can join us for some drinks, canapés and some great conversation. Due to an overwhelming response, spaces are being limited to invitation only. If you have a colleague who is interested in attending we would be happy to add them to our waitlist, but cannot guarantee a place.
