The Global Cement & Concrete Association, GCCA, is seeking a Social Media and Digital Content Lead to help relate its positive story of concrete and sustainability goals around the World. The role will report to the GCCA Strategy, Communications and Policy Director and closely interact and manage projects with GCCA members and affiliate associations.
Concrete is the most consumed material on earth after water - it is the vital building material that has shaped our modern world. As Social Media and Digital Content Lead, you will be helping to communicate the role concrete is playing in developing sustainable and resilient communities, providing key infrastructure and homes, as well as supporting the transition to low carbon energy concrete. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a journey with one of the most far-reaching global industry net zero roadmaps of any global sector to date.
Role mission:
Manage, monitor and grow GCCA’s presence across multiple social media platforms, encompassing social strategy development, project management, customer service, networking and content creation
Update and support the development of the GCCA website with engaging content
Key responsibilities:
Develop and implement the social media strategy with actionable plans with the aim of increasing reach, awareness and engagement
Create compelling content for distribution across GCCA social media sites including posts, articles blogs, infographics and multimedia content
Create and publish engaging campaigns to enhance the profile of GCCA and its members, as well the promotion of concrete and its sustainable role in the built environment
Liaise with member companies to promote their sustainability activity and put in place system to easily capture and promote their key content
Remain up to date with the latest social media trends and digital technologies
Set measurable goals for campaigns, measuring and showing Return on Investment
Monitor and respond to feedback, comments and on social media posts
Optimise content according to SEO and analyse metrics
Skills and experience required:
Previous experience in a social media/digital marketing role with the ability to implement and deliver a social media plan across multiple platforms
Strong knowledge of LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.
Familiarity with industry, sustainability and climate agenda, built environment an advantage
Willingness to learn new topics, excellent analytical and quantitative skills, attention to detail
Excellent oral and written skills
An ability to work independently and with global teams
