Great opportunity for a Senior Marketing Executive to support the marketing management team and relevant business stakeholders within a leading Life Insurance provider.

Bournemouth based, hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 from home)

The successful candidate will be the technical expertise for the marketing team and external stakeholders. Understanding new and emerging trends and developments from the marketing industry; and understanding when and how to apply these. 

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Be responsible for creating, planning and executing on-going B2B marketing initiatives in accordance with the agreed sales & marketing plan

  • Communicate marketing activity plans and performance to relevant stakeholders, ensuring appropriate support and response management

  • Support and lead where appropriate the delivery of the strategic marketing plans, ensuring maximum impact and consistency with all business marketing activity and sales objectives

  • Be solely accountable for keeping the team abreast and up to date with marketing trends, emerging market issues, competitor activity and distribution dynamics in the industry; producing practical insights and actions to protect and develop our marketing positioning

  • Take the marketing lead on business projects, including assessing impacts on the company’s proposition position, developing content and implementing relevant activity as part of the wider strategic marketing plan

  • Produce marketing, communications and product materials and content for use in marketing campaigns and activity for the Life insurance product

  • Ensure all materials and content are in full compliance with the communications process and are free from any legal, technical or regulatory breach or error

  • Effectively manage and be responsible for key relationships with relevant internal (including product areas and sales) and external parties (including agencies, networks, media owners and affiliates), for the purposes of implementing marketing activities and campaigns with required reputational and commercial impact

  • Act as a mentor across the life marketing team to provide key technical expertise and advice

  • Managing the discretionary marketing budget in conjunction with the B2B Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing

  • Senior internal and external stakeholder relationship management

Skills and Experience:

  • Proactive marketer with extensive marketing experience ideally within the IFA or life and pensions markets

  • Ability to identify, understand and interpret strategic and tactical marketing opportunities.

  • Proactive approach to problem-solving

  • Ability to present self externally and represent the company at external marketing events

  • Self-starter, able to think laterally and a good problem-solver

  • A team player and an ability to lead/show leadership to others

  • Able to work in a pressured and changing environment

  • Strong relationship management skills

  • Strong technical marketing expertise and keeping abreast of emerging and future trends

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong copywriting skills and attention to detail

  • Relevant B2B Marketing experience, ideally within the IFA or life and pensions markets.

  • Able to work across the ‘marketing mix’, writing copy for off- as well as on-line campaigns

  • Working towards or possess a recognised marketing qualification (CIM/ACIM), or equivalent

  • The ability to guide and influence others and provide expert technical marketing advice

  • A team player, with the ability to manage and motivate both upwards and downwards
