A well-known professional services firm is searching a Senior Internal Communications Manager on an initial 12-month contract paying £70,000 - £80,000.

The role holder will be the business partner for the tax area of the business and will have the responsibility of delivering the internal communications programme for that division.

Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications and sitting in the central comms team, the Senior Internal Communications Manager will work closely with the Head of Tax division as well as the Executive, Operations and Transformation teams to continue to deliver internal communication to inform and engage 2,500 – 3,000 people around the strategy and plan.

This is a challenging yet enjoyable role in an award winning and friendly team. The business offers a hybrid working model and the successful candidate should expect to work from the London office twice a week.

Experience working in professional services or a regulatory business is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be proactive and drive the planning and delivery of the internal communications programme to engage tax colleagues across the UK.

  • Continue to ensure that the tax communications approach aligns with the firm’s vision, commitment to serving the public interest and high quality, as well as the firm’s internal communications approach, using this to inform your approach, and as a foundation for all of your work.

  • Work closely with the Tax Executive and the wider team of senior leaders to involve and motivate people across Tax to serve the public interest by consistently performing high quality engagements.

  • Continue to develop relationships and build communities to involve people appropriately in the strategy and plan, to ultimately increase understanding of how every role contributes to achieving the Tax stream’s ambitions.

  • Further embed the existing Internal Communications framework so that the communications channels are used to the best effect, drawing on current best practice as well as new techniques.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven track record in designing and delivering effective communications programmes that produce tangible results or change.

  • Demonstrates good project management understanding and skills to help others deliver their communications plans.

  • Shows initiative in starting new projects or thinking of new ways in maximising existing programmes.

  • Experience of communications technologies and channels (for example, SharePoint, Yammer).

  • Has a thorough understanding of the internal communications channel mix and when to use each appropriately.
