Senior Internal Communications Channel Manager (6-Month FTC)

A global leader in online sports betting and gambling is looking for a Senior Channels Manager on an initial 4 – 6-month contract paying £75k - £82k. The hiring manager is looking for an established digital channels leader, rather than an internal communications generalist with some channels experience. They’ll be responsible for the design and future roadmap of all internal communications channels, leading a culture of continuous improvement that is driven by the latest technologies and content trends.

The successful candidate will create brilliant experiences for global employees. Whether that be ensuring the global platform is best in class or handling the technical production of global company wide Viva Engage live events, the successful candidate will have the experience to keep on raising the bar to provide a brilliant service to internal customers.

The role holder will report to the Head of Engagement & Experience and partner closely with the internal communications team, and end user service team to ensure alignment of the internal communications channel strategy and roadmap with the wider HR and workplace technology agenda.

They will also provide advice and guidance on best-in-class IC channels and the integration with the wider technology stack and physical assets (office spaces) to create great experiences for employees. Finally, they’ll partner with the internal communications team to provide IC Channels subject matter expertise on all aspects of communications campaigns, planning, content, and measurement including online, offline, and events.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build, execute and own the internal comms channels strategy.

  • Put in place a robust way of measuring the success of the IC content and channels

  • Group point of contact for internal communications channels, platforms, and analytics, including integrations to all other technologies.

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure dependent functions are looped into internal communications solutions, roadmap & prioritisation and that products/solutions meet required specifications i.e. People, Internal comms, DEI, Compliance, Legal Functions

  • Responsible for devising, maintaining and prioritising internal communications solutions roadmap in keeping with the future vision – ensuring prioritisation considers business needs, risks and other priorities utilising the same resources.

  • Keen ability to translate business needs into high-level stories/requirements for new-to-market features and drive incremental delivery of these features in conjunction with the wider delivery teams – presenting product ideas/features to leadership and stakeholders as required.

  • Monitor and analyse the performance and effectiveness of communication channels, providing regular reports and actionable insights to stakeholders, with a specific focus on the Internal Communications team as the key content creators for this channel.

  • Act as a subject matter expert on digital experience and engagement, leveraging industry best practices and emerging trends to enhance internal communications initiatives.

  • Taking overall responsibility for digital channels – leading on the experience design and product backlog; providing counsel and access to training & resources to content owners

This is a 4 - 6-month contract with a likely start date in April or May 2024. The organisation has a hybrid working model with 1 – 2 days a week in the London office.
