Senior Content Manager

Our UK-wide client is looking for an experienced content manager to join their Internal Communications function to oversee the creation and delivery of engaging internal communications content across digital and traditional channels.

The role:

You’ll join an established team, be responsible for strategy, planning and delivery, and will line manage a team of two to help you create and implement first-class targeted communications in support of business priorities. Reporting to the Head of Internal Communications and working closely with stakeholders across the business, and alongside colleagues within the wider communications team, you will:

·       Set the strategic direction for internal content/editorial activity across the organisation

·       Build and deliver a detailed communications plan and calendar of activity that works to improve engagement, particularly within frontline / customer facing populations

·       Work to further hone and develop the organisation’s tone of voice and seek out opportunities to reflect the employee voice in your communications

·       Develop a cascade of messaging across a range of topics and create engaging content for distribution across relevant channels (intranet, email, video, podcasts, leadership communications, events, email, Yammer etc)

·       Provide communications advice and counsel to leadership

·       Monitor and continually improve the effectiveness of your activity

·       Support your line reports and offer input to the wider communications team

About you:

Our client is looking for an experienced internal communications professional with a demonstrable track record in leading the content strategy and delivery for a large matrix organization. You’ll have excellent communications skills (written and in person), have the ability to sense the DNA of an organization and be able to evidence how the content/campaigns you create materially influence levels of understanding and engagement. You’ll be creative, innovative and driven, enjoying the variety and pace of a busy comms environment and keen to further develop your career.

The role is offered with a good holiday allowance and pension, and on a remote/hybrid model with regional hubs in Bristol and Cardiff where you can work alongside colleagues as well as working largely from home and as part of a geographically disparate communications team. Interviews are planned late November; if this role appeals then please apply today for further detail.
