The Retail Marketing Manager will be responsible for owning and implementing our retail marketing strategy across our growing international footprint to ensure we deliver on our twin aims of driving long-term brand relevance and short-term sales and purchasing goals. Strongly supporting our Sales & Partnership teams, this role will ensure that the pipeline of high-quality customers visiting our instore, and online partner destinations, receive a positive experience creating the impetus for a sale, purchase, or part-exchange

Key responsibilities

  • Own the vision for the shopper journey to deliver a best-in-class experience, taking into consideration insight, trends, and market feedback.

  • Shape, manage and execute the vision to form a retail marketing strategy and annual calendar ensuring adaptation of the approach for different retail destinations, be that own-brand or 3rd party (online and physical).

  • Using data and insight to develop and own all retail marketing plans to ensure business goals are met and resources are appropriately allocated.

  • Develop briefs for a full range of retail activations including new retail openings, new propositions, and campaigns. The briefs, built on insight from the marketplace, competitors, and market trends, should reflect the deliverables required to meet business targets.

  • Work collaboratively with external, third-party retail partners to maximise resources such as POS, marketing collateral and online media.

  • Lead and coordinate the creation and delivery of marketing materials and content to support retail marketing briefs.

  • Consistently communicate to stakeholders about updates on progress, relevant delays or issues, budget or timing implications, and highlight risks to key stakeholders.

  • Responsible for building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure that all retail marketing projects are delivered successfully and are in line with wider business goals.

  • Trial and pilot activity in partnership with regional teams to inform long-term strategy.

  • Partner with the wider Marketing team to support market planning and budget management.

  • Develop shopper insights, engagement, and analytics to feedback and/or develop action plans required to maximise opportunities with our shoppers and shopper journey.

 

About you

  • Proven experience in leading Retail Marketing, ideally with premium brands across multiple geographies.

  • Proven experience in presenting work and influencing decision-makers at the highest levels.

  • Able to apply strategic and data-led approaches to all briefs.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects whilst still delivering on schedule and to budget.

  • Experience in influencing/guiding a team of people across various functions to deliver defined and agreed objectives and schedules.

  • Experience in working with a ‘big idea’ and creatively managing it through integrated campaigns.

  • Experience in creating solutions within tight timeframes.
