Our client is an international tech company with presence all over the world. The vacancy is in the EMEAR region. This region is made up of 6 areas covering 123 countries across Europe, Middle East, Africa and Russia (EMEAR). The EMEAR Communications team is a group of communicators driven by a purpose to create the most impactful stories, shape perceptions and enable strategic conversations amongst their audiences. Together, they create a safe space to share, learn and break new ground, to perform at the best.
You’ll be responsible for creating and delivering an integrated PR program in The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg for key influencers, working in partnership with all communications functions and stakeholders, including the country management teams and marketing. Key influencers will primarily include the media as well as considering other audiences such as social media influencers, government and employees.
The success of this role requires the ability to balance several priorities. It requires you to prioritise and focus on the areas where communications can have the biggest impact and deliver tangible results.
You design and drive a strategic PR program that helps position the company,, advances its thought leadership and innovation profile and influences audience perceptions.
You create / write engaging content (press releases, presentations, video scripts, social media, messages, briefing documents, by-lined articles).
You work directly with journalists and other key influencers, based on excellent traditional media expertise and relationships with technology, national and business publications as well as key social/online influencers.
You collaborate with individuals and teams to extract relevant information from multiple sources and blend into a range of communications. Build spokesperson messaging and platforms that positions the company and the speaker as true thought leaders within a fast evolving and competitive market.
You track and report success metrics and use the data to continually improve PR programs.
Using your deep understanding of the BeNeLux media landscape, you provide counsel to internal stakeholders. You socialise communications plans and results with key business stakeholders.
You manage the in-country PR agencies.
You will be an active member of the EMEAR Communications team and help drive the team’s joint success whilst driving the success of PR locally.
You know how to lead, plan and execute public relations campaigns, aligned to both global and local business priorities. You use a strategic and creative approach to translate business priorities into compelling content that is relevant and engaging to a diverse audience.
You are a seasoned communications professional with 8+ years of direct PR and communications experience.
You have experience in working in an international/multinational company.
You have worked with and built trusted relationships with journalists and other key influencers in BeNeLux, including national, business, technology and social media.
You have strong interpersonal skills; intuitive ability to read people, influence where appropriate and execute. You have senior level experience in giving counsel and mentorship to executives; need to have credibility, trust and presence with senior management.
You have excellent editorial and storytelling skills and you develop meaningful and engaging content in Dutch and English. This includes messaging documents, blogs, announcements, customer stories, by-lines, media pitches, briefings, Q&As, video scripts, presentations, social media content etc.
You have experience in building strategic communications plans with a focus on outcomes (perception changes). You have experience in tracking and reporting on communications metrics and use the data to continually improve campaigns.
Proven project management skills with the ability to meet milestones, manage budgets and suppliers and balance concurrent projects.
You demonstrate high degree of patience, integrity and take the initiative.
You are self-motivated with ability to handle areas of responsibility within deadlines, and with minimum supervision and guidance.
You are a flexible and resilient problem solver with the ability to gain consensus among others and handle sensitive situations.
You have a deep understanding of how PR and marketing should work together.
