The opportunity

My client is a listed technology company and is looking for a Public Relations Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive PR, social media, and thought leadership strategy across the EMEA region. They are located in Central London, with a 3 days (in office) hybrid working policy.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of PR, social media, and thought leadership initiatives to strengthen the brand and market position.

  • Support the Executive Board with executive communications, including media interviews, speech writing, and social media management.

  • Enhance the digital presence through SEO-optimized content in collaboration with digital and demand teams.

  • Manage the distribution of brand communications across the EMEA region and coordinate monthly briefings with senior colleagues.

  • Oversee the press office, ensuring timely and effective responses to media inquiries.

  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of external communications, integrating insights into marketing reports.

  • Work closely with external PR agencies to achieve objectives and support crisis communications when necessary.

  • Collaborate with various marketing functions to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging.

The ideal candidate

  • Degree in communications or a related field, with extensive experience in corporate communications or public relations.

  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce targeted content such as speeches, blogs, and newsletters.

  • Ability to connect market trends to business needs and craft compelling narratives.

  • Experience in executive communications, including writing for senior management in a suitable tone of voice.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with digital platforms and experience creating impactful campaigns for diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to set up and utilize metrics to measure communication impact.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and PowerPoint is a plus.
