One of the UK's largest providers of specialist housing and care for people in later life is looking for a Public Affairs Officer to join its team.
Reporting into External Communications Manager as Public Affairs Officer you will develop and implement a public affairs plan, in line with the Communications & Marketing strategy, which will support the delivery and achievement of the association's vision and strategic goals. You will need to identify the organisation's key Westminster and Whitehall stakeholders and manage relationships with them in order to achieve our policy objectives.
An important part of this role will be to manage enquiries from MPs about issues relating to locations in their constituencies and represent the association at party conferences, industry events and bodies.
You will write briefings and position statements and papers on issues of importance to the business and our customers and be responsible for, and passionate about, the delivery of highly effective public affairs service.
You will need to understand consumer public relations and ensure public affairs activity dovetails and supports wider external communications activity with the expectation that you will become a subject matter expert.
