Our client are changing the way people send money abroad. They are taking something complicated and making it simple. 

Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, the PR & Communications Director is a key senior hire for the business. Insight focused, this individual will be responsible for making strategically focused, commercial decisions about how the company is represented externally with the aim of supporting the growth of the business and striking the right balance between corporate and consumer communications.

This person will bring considerable savvy in dealing with the media, have a strong existing network of journalistic contacts and adept at managing agency relationships across the globe. They will have experience of both developed and emerging economies and will understand the nuances of the influence of both sender and receivers within the remittance industry.

They will develop and execute PR and Communications strategies and will inherit a small team. The team has broad responsibilities across speaking and press engagements, presentation preparation, media training, investor presentations and public policy.

They will energetically develop a plethora of new relationships in target, recipient markets. Working closely with the Head of Brand, Planning & Strategy & Head of Marketing Campaigns, they will understand the need for integrated planning and for campaigns to have broad appeal.

On the consumer campaigns, online and social media has played an important and growing role to date and it will continue to do so. The incoming hire will be expected to harness this and improve its position within the overall communications mix.

Writing skills are critical and the incoming hire will be expected to produce thought leadership which resonates with both sender and recipient communities. They will correspondingly shape their communication strategy by using our brand values to create an emotional connection with the brand.
