For our client Euroclear, we are currently looking for a bilingual (Dutch-French) Media Relations Manager to join their Corporate Communications team.
The media team’s mission is to protect and promote Euroclear’s reputation. You will manage all press activities for specific business lines and work closely with the company’s approved spokespersons to understand and, where appropriate, to raise profile of these business areas.
You will handle media enquiries, building strong relationships with the editors and reporters in relevant media, especially in Belgium and France.
You will also be expected to help coordinate and drive social media opportunities across the company. The successful candidate will also work closely with internal communications, public affairs and marketing functions, as well as business domains including innovation, ESG and HR.
You will be passionate about effective communications and champion the importance of best practice and adherence to the group’s media protocols.
We are looking for someone who is proactive and flexible with a can-do attitude. Full professional French, Dutch and English language proficiency required.
Promote and protect the reputation of the company via traditional and digital means.
Work closely with spokespeople and heads of businesses to understand their business needs in order to promote successful campaigns.
Prepare press releases, client communications, Q&As in order to help the business achieve their goals.
Identify stories and work with the business to refine and pitch to media.
Manage crisis communication situations and create appropriate statements and messages.
Build strong relationships with key journalists on a global basis.
Pitch for media opportunities aligning to Euroclear as a safe resilient innovative Financial Market Infrastructure.
Act a trusted advisor to business lines providing insights and market commentary from own network.
Contribute to managing external PR agencies.
Monitoring media and social media, and preparing reporting to senior management and the board.
Create content to promote through Euroclear’s channels.
Work with key stakeholders internally to ensure social media activity is aligned to strategy.
Encourage employees to be social media ambassadors and use channels in alignment with Euroclear’s social media policy.
