​Brilliant new opportunity here for an equally brilliant PR professional to join the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) on a 12-16 month FTC as Media Relations Adviser.

This cracking role can be performed largely remotely with occasional visits to one of this high-profile organisation’s sites in London, Cardiff, Belfast or Edinburgh. Working as part of RCM’s small but impactful Communications team, you’ll be supporting its comms & engagement strategy and helping to deliver great results for the organisation and its members.

You’ll be managing media relations in a busy press office alongside another colleague; briefing & advising senior spokespeople, including prepping the CEO for high-profile media interviews; and developing strong, sustainable relationships with a range of internal & external stakeholders, including health journalists. Like the very best media relations jobs, no two days will be the same and your focus will range from potential pay disputes to maternity safety - and plenty in between.

It will pay circa £45,000 - £50,000 plus various benefits, including 32 days’ annual leave, and is likely to start in September.
