The Role: Senior Manager, Corporate Reputation
Our client is looking for a new colleague who will be responsible for developing and executing their reputation strategy. This person will build on the global reputation strategy and develop market-specific communications campaigns around key topics such as sustainability, I&D, brands etc. that build reputation in the market and has very strong storytelling skills and sound media and content creation experience. The role is also responsible for ensuring each program is tracked against internal and external metrics to both optimize for future delivery and demonstrate success.
Job Responsibilities:
Reputation Strategy Development: Develop reputation management strategy for the German market, combining internal and external local audience insights with global reputation priorities to deliver communications campaigns that help position our client as a company with a very strong reputation
Reputation communications delivery:
External communications: Lead the execution of cross-segment external communication to drive reputation according to the German reputation strategy. You will be responsible for owned, earned and paid media execution. You will manage external speaker engagements, media opportunities and thought leadership to drive the reputation narrative. You will also manage cross-segment external media relations and the editorial calendar, as well as social and digital content development with external partners as needed
Integrated creative campaign execution: You will work with the global reputation management working group to develop integrated creative marketing campaigns for our client’s corporate brand. You will contribute local market insights into campaign briefs, contribute to the creative development process, assist in developing campaign content, review/compose paid media plans, deliver campaigns and help on any local measurement pre and post flight
Where appropriate, link our client’s consumer and corporate brands: You will be responsible for partnering with the Brand Teams to execute the strategy to link our client’s corporate brand with consumer brands to drive reach and awareness with the General Public
Associate communications: You will liaise with the cross-segment Internal Communications leaders to ensure that communications are delivered with excellence to Associates in the market
Where required, external agency management: You will manage the budgets and the relationships with external agencies in order to be able to deliver against reputation strategy and objectives cross-segments
Collaboration cross segments and functions: You will work hand-in-hand with all the relevant internal stakeholders on workplace of choice and inclusion & diversity activations and experts across other areas. You will need excellent stakeholder engagement skills to represent the market perspective in the global reputation management working group and also manage relevant updates with local Corporate Affairs leaders and General Managers
You will report into the cross-segment Corporate Affairs Director Germany. You will work hand in hand with the Corporate Affairs Leads of each of our client’s segments in Germany and be the key market representative in the global reputation management working team along with other key markets.
You will be expected to:
Partner across the Corporate Affairs Team in Germany and serve on the global reputation management working group
Partner with Regional and Global Corporate Affairs stakeholders at segment and corporate level to ensure alignment and integration across External Comms, Corporate Brand and Public Affairs. This includes partnerships around campaigns as well as development of platforms, policies and positions
Collaborate with segment internal and external comms and public affairs teams to leverage global expertise and development with local insights and execution
Strategically manage the network of partner agencies for maximum efficiency and effectiveness in executing our client’s strategy
Experience:
Demonstrable experience in media relations, corporate affairs/reputation management with exceptional communications skills with diverse audiences (corporate communications, media relations, change management, external affairs)
Strong written communication and copywriting skills with ability to concisely articulate complex issues
Storytelling and social media skills, external speaker management, media relations, creative brand communications experience, communications measurement and internal communications experience desired
Budget and agency management experience is a plus
Strong stakeholder relationship skills and strong partnering capabilities, being comfortable around higher management, experience with collaboration across our client’s functions, segments and markets a big advantage
Ability to lead multiple projects and processes simultaneously, and ability to track projects with varying deadlines, ability to remain flexible and resilient under pressure and make quick decisions when necessary
