Internal Communications Manager (Intranet Management)

Internal Communications Manager (Intranet Management)

New role in a small but mighty internal comms team!

I’ve just taken on a new role within the Construction sector and they are looking for an Internal Communications Manager, with a focus on Intranet management. This position will primarily be managing the new intranet channel (on both desktop and a mobile app), creating content and working on a longer term roadmap with the IT team.

As a relatively new function, you will be joining 2 other Internal Communications professionals and providing hands-on support where needed within the team. In addition to working on the Intranet and BAU Internal Communications, you will also be responsible for the Communications for the company’s charitable foundation (notably assisting with some of the external comms around this), a part of the company which really needs some steer and direction.

What could I expect on a day-day basis?

In a small team, you will be expected to be a true team player and set-up to the mark when required. You are likely to be getting involved in the following:

  • Liaising with the IT team to set-up a roadmap for the intranet.

  • Producing top quality content for the Intranet channel.

  • Setting the strategy for the Intranet.

  • Discussing the wider comms strategy with the rest of the IC team.

And the practical stuff…

To be in this role, you will ideally be based in London/Home Counties although the position is largely remote.
