Job Description

We have an incredible opportunity for an Internal Communications professional to join a global charity who are at the forefront of tackling climate change. This position will be for 4-days a week on an initial 6 month contract basis.

As the planet faces unprecedented challenges, our client's work has never been more important; the charity looks to work with Governments, Corporations, charities, individuals and thinkers to deliver ground-breaking action and force change.

The Internal Communications Manager will spearhead the central objective to embed the organisation's vision, mission and values with their staff alongside a strong culture. The preferred candidate will have some previous senior internal comms experience with great digital, content creation and writing skills.

Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Experience of working in a communications role, successfully influencing and managing relationships at a senior level and an ability to work at pace

  • Proactive and self-sufficient to take direction and convert that into delivery plans

  • Strategic thinker, able to take a holistic view to join the dots between activities and plans

  • Storyteller, able to produce compelling content and present information in an inclusive and accessible way

  • Relationship-builder who loves making connections and sharing news

  • Equally comfortable presenting to a crowd as listening and learning

  • Understands the needs of employees and how to bring employee experience into internal communication

  • Strong organisational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to deal with conflicting and changing priorities

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, including negotiating and influencing

  • Committed to two-way engagement rather than a broadcast approach to communicating with colleagues
