​Job Description

Our client, a big brand in the UK restaurant industry, has an exciting permanent opening for an experienced Internal Communications Manager to join their central London-based head office.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established restaurant chain, leading the conception and delivery of the internal communications strategy to support the business in achieving its priorities and growth ambitions. As an expert communicator, your work will inform, engage and inspire their people, helping build understanding of the corporate vision & direction and the important role employees will play in this exciting journey.

This position:

  • Will likely start in early June

  • Offers c. £50,000

  • Would require hybrid working (circa 2 days in-office per week)

  • Requires some relevant sector experience - any form of hospitality is beneficial, specific experience in the restaurants sector is ideal

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the planning and delivery of the internal communications strategy - ensuring consistency of messaging and activity to mobilise their people and align with the strategic priorities of the business.

  • Manage and continually evolve the internal communications platform, particularly Workplace (by Meta), using a data and feedback-led approach to maximise its potential and increase usage.

  • Drive the day-to-day management of the internal communication channels, in line with the internal communications calendar, such as weekly cascades, monthly updates and Support Office meetups, ensuring content is relevant and engaging.

  • Support the delivery of the quarterly Senior Leadership Team events and annual conference.

  • Deliver a consistent employee experience and tone of voice when communicating with their people - closely linking to the client’s brand and values.

  • Working with teams from across the business to support in key change activity as and when required, to ensure these land successfully.

  • Work closely with the leadership team to craft communications on key projects and plans within the business.

  • Support the Talent Attraction team with employer branding content and activations to overlay with the internal communications plans.

  • Support the People Team with key employee experience related projects.

  • Work with external agencies in the creation and delivery of video content.

Key Requirements

  • Experience planning, managing and delivering Internal Communications in an operational environment.

  • Hands on experience working with intranet systems (ideally Workplace) and creating digital content.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including copy writing, storytelling, creating video content and event planning. Experience and specialist knowledge of copywriting and designing/ delivering communication campaigns using a range of channels, in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience of leadership communications and engaging with senior leaders. Excellent stakeholder manager and influencer.

  • Ability to cut through noise and simplify key messages to ensure they land with impact.

  • Experience leading projects and ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.

  • Self-starter who can join the dots and take a proactive approach.

  • Experience of managing the design & delivery of events.
