We are working with a leading FMCG company based in London and they are looking to hire an Internal Communications manager to develop and deliver engaging and impactful internal communications which will help employees feel connected, informed and motivated. 

The business is going through a period of growth and they are looking for someone to join their growing communications team.

You will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Support on key internal communications projects (E.g. sustainability comms, change management) as required, working with Teams from across the business
  • Support the Director of Corporate Affairs on the delivery of CEO/leadership comms (e.g. videos, leadership briefings)
  • Managing the intranet and lead on the delivery of the internal news calendar and program
  • Plan, deliver and improve the quarterly company webcasts
  • Work closely with HR to produce strong narratives to support employer brand work, I & D strategy and event programme, communications on our Purpose and Values and other priorities for employee engagement
  • Enhance factory communications and introduce better ways of measuring its impact and increase the frontline staff engagement
  • Effectively brief and manage internal communications agency and other third-party resources
  • Alongside the Corporate Affairs Manager, build strong internal relationships and ensure there is regular interaction with our market communications network
  • Work closely with the Corporate Affairs Manager to ensure internal communications activity is integrated with the external communications programme and that there is the efficient and effective use of content across different audiences
  • Manage weekly reporting process across all key metrics
  • Provide high-quality tools and templates that can be used or adapted for local comms, also develop and deliver internal communications training as required to build capabilities in the markets
  • As the company continues to grow, you will work closely with IT, HR and all the other relevant Teams to ensure they have the tools, channels and content required to make a big impact

Experience and skills

  • Experience in planning, managing and delivering internal communications in a modern, fast-paced communications team/department
  • Hands-on experience of digital comms/intranet management experience
  • Speech/scriptwriting/video production
  • Experience in leadership communications and interacting with senior leaders
  • Experience of working across Europe/globally
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication skills
  • Project management, planning and prioritization skills
