I’m delighted to be working with a brilliant organisation within the travel and transport industry! They’re looking to take on a new Internal Communications and Engagement Manager who will be instrumental to the strategic vision of company communications, and will act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team. This is a really exciting role for someone who has experience creating internal comms plans, enjoys working autonomously, and is also able to write compelling copy.
The Role:
Develop and deliver a communications strategy for which supports the delivery of the business plan and other key strategic aims
Acts as a business partner, developing an in depth understanding of priorities, building relationships with key figures.
Translate the business strategy and work with the leaders to develop a communication plan which enable colleagues to understand how their contribution supports the achievement of wider business goals
Work with the senior leadership team to provide the tools, frameworks and advice to create a regular drumbeat of communications e.g. all colleague briefings, Teams Lives, Coffee with …., leadership events and Team Briefings
Work with key stakeholders to develop communications campaigns to assist leadership in achieving its strategic objectives
Qualify the impact of all interventions using appropriate evaluation methods, in line with our organisational processes, driving clear Return on Investment
Ensures consistency with Group and external messaging through close alignment with the Chief of Staff function
Produces creative content for a variety of internal marketing and communication channels
Ensure all graphic designs comply with the established brand by briefing creative agencies and work closely with them
Develop, co-ordinate and provide advice on the deployment of the employee survey tool and work with stakeholders to deliver action plans to increase overall engagement
Work with business leaders and the people team to track and report the impact of activity aimed at increasing engagement
Upskill line managers to own and to deliver their own communication and engagement plan and activities
Lead group wide communications and/or engagement initiatives on behalf of the wider team
Key skills required:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of and proven track record in communication methodologies
Takes initiative and works under own direction
Strong communications experience, specifically including employee engagement
Experience in successfully influencing and managing stakeholder relationships at senior levels and across functions
Experience in the successful management and delivery of complex change programmes
Highly-motivated, creative individual with strong project management skills
Demonstrates a strong passion for engagement and keeping up-to-date with the latest thinking
Confident and comfortable liaising with stakeholders across the business, including members of the senior team
