My client, the world’s fastest growing commercial real estate business, is looking for an Internal Communications and Engagement Manager on an initial 12-month contract paying £45,000 - £55,000.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative function as they look to develop and execute an impactful and compelling internal communications and engagement strategy that builds morale and drives behavioural change in a fast-paced environment.

Both strategic and tactical, the role requires working with stakeholders to source information, align messaging, content and channels and be the go-to person for all internal communications in the business. The successful candidate will have the ability to critically assess new ideas and turn these ideas into compelling initiatives that deliver business impact and drive desired behaviours.

This role is the UK Lead in the global internal communications function, and will work closely with the global Internal Communications Specialist, based in the US, as well as the the wider UK Communications team, to deliver company-wide initiatives and projects locally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a pan-UK internal communication and strategy and messaging framework, driving employee engagement and collaboration

  • Manage the inhouse Internal Comms and Events team (two direct reports)

  • Deliver impactful leadership communications that inform, educate and engage staff

  • Oversee and deliver national events programme, in collaboration with Senior Internal Events Executive

  • Identify, research, write and publish day-to-day content, including news articles, thought leadership research launches, new appointments and client activity

  • Support internal operational teams on change management projects including IT transformation and HR initiatives

  • Manage existing internal communications platforms and vehicles, including our intranet, social media tool and weekly newsletters

Skills and Experience

  • The ideal candidate will be comfortable interfacing at all levels of the organization and have a proven track record in understanding business agendas and proactively translating this into high-quality, creative communications that are relevant and engaging

  • 5+ years internal communications, engagement and events experience

  • Strong project management and organisational skills

  • A strong writer, proactive and independent thinker; natural collaborator, able to think strategically; and able to demonstrate a very high attention to detail

  • Experience storyboarding and delivering video content and ideally, podcasting

  • Proven track record of managing and drafting senior executive and CEO internal communications

  • Confident in giving solid guidance and advice on internal communication to business leaders
