My client, a leading healthcare regulator is looking for an experienced Senior Press Officer to be based in their Central London office for a 3 month period to start immediately. Reporting into the Media Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key journalists and assist with the smooth running of a busy and fast paced press office.

Please note this role sits inside scope of IR35.

Key Responsibilities

• As part of a 24/7 - 365 press office, you will be the first point of contact for press enquiries

• Creating press releases and briefing / advising senior colleagues  

• Develop and maintain relationships with journalists in national, regional and trade press

• Develop relationships with communications teams in key stakeholder organisations.

Skills desired

• Healthcare or Central Government press office experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must be a team player
