Stonewall’s stated aim is for equality and acceptance for LGBTQ+ people in the UK and worldwide - a world where everyone, everywhere is free to be themselves.

We are looking for a seasoned, hyper-engaged comms practitioner who brings bags of credibility and knows their way around Westminster.As a trusted senior advisor, you’ll bring strategic communications skill in spades and will blend clear thinking with the ability to advocate strongly, intellectually & always empathetically.

Managing a national team of around six, you’ll sit as a member of Stonewall’s Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO and governing body.Your brief centres on working with the Trustees to deliver the charity’s strategic objectives, vision & governance, ensuring that the voices of all communities it represents, and their allies, are heard in the decisions that it makes, with a particular focus on trans & BAME communities who have historically been excluded.

To do that successfully, you’ll need to be a strong, visible and confident strategic leader, who is comfortable driving organisational performance and the continual development of Stonewall’s culture, values and standards, both internally and externally.As both role model and thought leader, this is a pivotal position in an always closely-watched, politically mobile organisation.
