My client is a multiple award-winning producer of investment conferences for International energy sectors.

You will be responsible for developing the marketing strategies for all events and projects within the portfolio as the company moves to a new phase of digital growth. Working with the marketing team, you will deliver cross-channel marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, generate leads and improve customer retention. You will also partner with the Head of Digital to shape and implement the new 365 always on digital community platform as the business towards a digital first strategy. Utilising our marketing technology platforms, you will be a champion of data, connecting it throughout the customer journey, and generating the insights that will shape our digital and live events and products. You will understand and be able to communicate ‘purpose and inclusivity’ across all marketing activities and be able to demonstrate a positive leadership style to support and further develop a best-in-class brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing marketing campaign managers – leading by example and supporting development
  • Partnering with the Head of Digital to shape and implement the new 365 always on digital community platform.
  • Own and deliver the marketing strategy in line with business objectives
  • Lead, develop and manage a marketing team in the day-to-day running of the department
  • Create strong, competitive brands and oversee positioning across all platforms
  • Develop and oversee communication strategies across all channels
  • Oversee the structure, implementation & optimization of sales data plans
  • Use marketing automation technology to craft exceptional customer journeys and qualify leads
  • Identify new business opportunities using market research and customer feedback
  • Manage marketing budgets for events and projects within the portfolio
  • Develop innovative, revenue-generating ideas for events and projects in the portfolio
  • Produce marketing reports and metrics to benchmark performance on an ongoing basis
  • Continuously review changes to the market, customer trends and the activities of competitors,
  • adjusting the marketing plan if necessary

Knowledge & Skills:

  • At least 5 years’ previous experience in a senior marketing level role
  • Previous experience of leadership and line management
  • Solid understanding of the digital media landscape
  • Experience integrating industry leading marketing technology tools like Pardot, Sprout Social,Salesforce CRM, chatbots, landing page software etc
  • Proven ability to learn new tools and software quickly and independently
  • Excellent knowledge of best practice across email, social media, paid media, landing pages, websites and chatbots
  • In depth knowledge of marketing performance metrics
  • Excellent ability to strategically interpret data trends and gaps, providing analysis and recommendations
  • Deep knowledge in customer segmentation, data and list management and deliverability
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members across the business
  • Strong understanding of content marketing strategies and techniques
  • Excellent knowledge of marketing automation technology (Pardot & Salesforce highly desirable)
  • Strong experience in areas including insight development and audience segmentation
  • Experience in benchmarking and metrics including acquisition rates, conversion rates, database growth, lead nurture, engagement, MQL/SQL
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and PECR
