Major responsibilities

  • Hands-on management of many simultaneous processes, from initial proposal to publication.
  • Liaison with the author teams and external vendors (writers, designers).
  • A commitment to meeting all deadlines.
  • Work closely with the managing editor in supporting the practice’s multiple sub-sector leaders as they design their publishing strategy.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that the publishing team’s communications with internal clients are clear and consistent.

Key skills and requirements

  • At least 5 years’ professional experience in business writing and editing, including online publishing and digital media, preferably for a business publication or a professional-services firm.
  • Solid understanding of general business concepts; knowledge of one or more industry sectors.
  • Strong editorial judgment; ability to rapidly absorb complex ideas and distil them into accessible copy for global audiences.
  • Exceptional organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage complex processes, and meet both short-term and long-term deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of general business concepts; knowledge of one or more industry sectors.
  • A deep experience of managing a complex, busy and varied content pipeline, working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude and team orientation with excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Experience of directly editing content.
  • Be familiar with working with diverse teams and shaping ideas from senior stakeholders into workable, distinctive and compelling content.
  • Have the ability to work independently in a low-structure environment and to deal with ambiguity; willingness to proactively seek guidance when appropriate

The offer and application process

This is a unique opportunity to join an international company of name and fame. With the application we would like to receive a salary indication and a motivation letter covering all key skills and requirements. Please bear in mind that ‘good English’ is not enough, it needs to be at native level either by birth or by having worked / studied in English speaking countries for a very significant period.
