Exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Digital to join a transport and retail hub on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the digital function and driving the evolution of our digital and ecommerce offering across the business.

Hybrid working: West London office

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Ecommerce Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for ecommerce growth, including sales targets, customer acquisition, retention, and optimisation of the online shopping experience

  • Digital Transformation: Lead the digital transformation initiatives, driving innovation and leveraging technology to enhance business processes, improve operational efficiency, and deliver superior customer experiences

  • Customer Experience (CX): Lead efforts to enhance the online customer experience, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly ecommerce platform that meets the needs and preferences of our target audience. Implement CX strategies to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention

  • Digital Product Ownership: Own the digital product roadmap, working closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritise features, and drive product development initiatives that align with business goals and customer needs

  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilise web analytics tools to track key performance metrics, analyse trends, and generate actionable insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement

  • Ecommerce Technology: Evaluate and implement ecommerce technology solutions, platforms, and tools to support business objectives and enhance operational efficiency

  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of ecommerce, digital transformation, and CX professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive performance and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including product management, merchandising, IT, and customer service teams, to ensure alignment of digital initiatives with overall business goals and objectives

  • Budget Management: Manage ecommerce, digital transformation, and CX budgets effectively, allocating resources strategically to achieve maximum ROI and drive business growth

Skills & experience:

  • Proven experience in ecommerce, digital transformation, and customer experience management, with a track record of driving online sales growth and enhancing customer satisfaction in a retail or ecommerce environment

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and motivate high-performing teams

  • Deep understanding of ecommerce platforms, technologies, and best practices, with experience in implementing and optimising ecommerce websites

  • Expertise in digital transformation principles and methodologies, with a focus on driving innovation and leveraging technology to achieve business objectives

  • Experience implementing CX strategies and initiatives to improve customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention

  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in web analytics tools to track performance and optimise campaigns
