​Fantastic opportunity for a Head of Communications to join a well known business in the transportation and logistics sector. This is a new role and will be a key member of the Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in the future of the business. This is a meaty role and would suit an experienced communications professional to take on the task for a well known organisation that has recently faced some reputational challenges.

Role responsibilities/key skills:

  • You will be responsible for creating and delivering a multi-channel communications strategy – with a focus on digital and social media.

  • Protect and enhance the corporate reputation of the business.

  • Manage B2B and B2C communications for the business.

  • Strong crisis/issues management experience- both hands on experience and crisis readiness planning.

  • Focus on measurable plans that build reputation, trust ad brand.

  • Manage and build relationships with key external stakeholder groups including government, media and influencers.

  • Manage through the line activation at industry events, trade shows, conferences and exhibitions.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills – manage relationships with key internal stakeholders, be a trusted communications advisor and make recommendations were necessary.

  • Work with HR on culture transformation/internal comms.

  • Line management experience – you will be responsible for 2x direct reports (External Comms Manager and Internal Comms Manager).

  • You will have integrated communications experience across PR, Media Relations/Crisis & Issues, Government Relations, Digital, Social Media and Internal Communications.

  • A background in transportation/logistics could be helpful, but not mandatory. The role has both a B2B and B2C element.
