It is a DAX corporation and is one of the largest building materials companies in the world, holding top 3 positions in the sectors they operate in. The group has activities in around 60 countries with 60,000 employees working at 3,000 production sites.

Hands-on communication leader to head up all Benelux company communications (internal, brand and corporate including crisis and press communication). The Head of Communications Benelux is responsible for both external and internal communications. Reporting to the HR & Communications Director and liaising with press agencies and other external partners as well as with the marketing department, the IT department, internal Staff, CEO and EXCO members. Reporting to HR & Communication Director.

Areas of responsibility

Internal communication:

-Define yearly plan with key messages aligned with business strategy and values. Identify adequate communication mix including intranet and innovative communication channels.

-Develop proactive and efficient communication channels and means that can easily be implemented and adapted internally.

Corporate communication:

-Develop yearly communication plan with key messages aligned with business strategy, values and internal communication plan.

-Develop network of relations to spread the messages in an efficient and professional way including the social media and digital communication.

Crisis communication:

-Adapt, maintain and communicate the crisis communication policy. Ensure the stakeholders are aware of their respective role and offer support and coaching in case of crisis event.

Communication training:

-Ensure the various stakeholders have received the necessary training/coaching to be able to communicate in a professional way when necessary.

Brand communication:

-Coordinate brand communication campaign based on communication strategy and positioning.

-Liaise with other departments.

-Work in close collaboration with Group communication, B/L Marketing Managers and HR Business Partners to ensure alignment.

Minimum requirements

-University degree (communication or similar by experience).

-At least 7 years of relevant experience, in an innovative context with the focus on digital communication.

-Social and digital media, press communication, internal communication, crisis communication.

-Hands on, business oriented, agile.

-Dutch and English (writing) are essential language skills, good conversational French is considered a real plus.
