Enhance the global brand
Develop a global and local brand strategy around the firm’s key strategic priorities that communicates both who we are and what we want to be known for.
They will create and implement a supporting strategy and brand plan; engaging the global and local firm around it, building and leading a team to deliver on the goals.
Responsible for defining the brand positioning across all of the marketing channels and across all geographies.
Promote the company’s reputation as one of the world’s most advanced law firms in terms of its legal products, its client and sector focus and the way that it operates as a business.
Set the agenda for how the firm’s services are positioned in all its markets and create a brand that will attract, engage and excite clients and prospects across the globe.
Own and set the creative direction for the brand, constantly searching for new ideas.
Harness opportunities to push the boundaries, try new things and take responsibility for big ideas.Reframe the brand for an ever-changing environment, by combining creative excellence with technology-led solutions
Create a highly capable team
Develop a team of brand specialists, capable of supporting the global needs of the marketing functionand manage this team collaboratively, encouraging the flow of talent through the team and driving new ideas.
Develop and implement an approach for ongoing development of the team to evolve and innovate the approach to the firm’s brand.
Grow and lead a global team that will deliver a brand that differentiates the firm from its competitors.
They will coach and inspire an in-house creative team.
Role and Responsibilities
The right Candidate will…
Will be responsible for the creative leadership of all marketing assets, campaigns and creative communication across the firm.
Will develop strategies and determine key initiatives for the brand to accelerate profitable growth, ensuring maximum performance and long-term viability.
Will be an identifier of, and incubator for, new marketing ideas, continually scoping fresh audience and brand marketing opportunities, prioritising in terms of potential impact and then delivering against these.
Will always seek new and creative ways to communicate our brand and never settle for conventional solutions.
Will seek to dominate and disrupt the marketplace wherever the firm requires it – surprise the market, frustrate the competition and delight the client.
Will work with the Head of Data & Insights to use internal and external data to monitor market and competitor activity, trends, perceptions and demands for products and services in order to identify new opportunities and give the business a competitive advantage, whilst maintaining the premium image and reputation as a thought leader in the market.
Will gain an understanding of the mindsets and capture the imaginations of our clients, new propositions, business leaders, and key influencers in the firm’s key markets.
Will monitor developing trends in the digital and automation arenas to drive innovation in communication; improve effectiveness; reach target markets and improve automation in communications methods.
Will establish metrics to measure campaign effectiveness against KPIs ensuring they are relevant, profitable, efficient and competitive, reporting as required
Will promote a common set of values and brand messages that generate pride in the brand/firm, engaging all members of the firm.
Will inspire the business on what it is to be part of the organisation
Will openly collaborate, inspireand build belief in the power of marketing across the entire business.
Will ensure that all campaigns are aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives and are optimized and relevant to multiple audiences
They will drive awareness and training of brand communications standards across the business
They will drive maximum compliance and adherence to global brand guidelines for the firm, ensuring the brand team champion on-brand work and pick-up on non-compliant activity when found across the firm.
Will ensure all media follows the firm's brand guidelines and direction
Will work closely with the Head of Data & Insights, Head of Content and Head of Corporate Communications to develop a marketing calendar that will enhance campaigns
Will integrate the public relations process into all program activities with the purpose of achieving ROI and maximum positive coverage.
Will become a trusted advisor internally across the firm. Key to this will be building relationships at a local and global level, as well as working collaborativelywith colleagues within the function and across Business Teams.
Will be responsible for identifying and managing strategic partnerships and sponsorships.
Will oversee relationships with external agencies, encourage innovation and bold approaches
A highly experienced senior Brand expert, who has driven the development of a global brand strategy and successfully deployed it both internally and externally.
Proven and successful experience building brands in a complex and highly competitive market.
Experience in scaling a global brand and design strategy across multiple markets, locales and clients
Experience working at a similar level in a high-profile, international organisation.
Significant expertise in running integrated marketing, brand and communications strategies, as well as campaign delivery.
A track record of designing and implementing strategies that deliver results
Sophisticated knowledge of the issues affecting multinational businesses across sectors.
A dynamic, data-driven strategic thinker, who is passionate about getting the right results that make a positive difference.
Excellent communicator with strong influencing skills and the ability to build consensus and credibility with stakeholders at all levels, and across different markets and cultures
A proactive & creative thinker, with vision and drive, who can act as a brand advocate across and beyond the business.
A natural storyteller, ready to think of new and innovative ways to promote our brand.
Ability to tailor complex messages for different crowds in a relatable and understandable manner.

Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to move and influence a team into moving towards a unified vision and objective.
A strong understanding of the platforms, channels, and strategies/approaches that will enable the brand marketing team to reach the right audiences.
Someone skilled in digital branding marketing approaches, but also traditional/offline approaches, such as print.
Proven track record in delivering sustainable improvements in marketing campaigns’ ROI.
Someone comfortable working with ambiguity, in rapidly changing situations and with different people
Ability to develop consumer and market information and insights through analysis of raw information and data, leading to informed decision-making and enhanced client acquisition and retention.
High energy individual who enjoys both the operational and strategic sides of this role and shows great flexibility to ensure we keep to practical progress.
Has strong commercial acumen and ability to identify and assess commercial opportunities.
