Service Provider is looking for an experienced external communications and media relations professional to head up team across press, customer comms and social media. Working with Directors and wider communications team, the focus is on raising profile with regional, national and trade press to promote organisation as well as reactively deal with any issues of reputation management.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Plan and deliver proactive PR and social media programme as well as reactively protect the brand and manage agency support
- Act as spokesperson or prep leadership team for meetings with key journalist maintain and develop these relationships
- Oversee Customer communications team and develop a culture of customer first
- Oversee the Social Media team to promote content as well as respond to online queries
The successful candidate with have a strong track record in achieving media coverage at a national and regional level. Able to demonstrate both proactive and reputation management experience at a high level.
Looking for a good team player who is also able to self-start with an organised and strategic approach. Able to measure outputs and continuously improve. Must have previous team management experience and expected to travel to different sites across the UK with role.
