Director of Marketing and Events

 

Exclusive opportunity for an experienced Director of Marketing and Events to join a leading global membership organisation.

Operating at ExCo level, the Director of Marketing and Events will develop and execute marketing strategies that drive member engagement, attract new members, and promote our events. This role requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on management to deliver impactful campaigns and successful events.

 

Central London based, very flexible working: 1 day a week in office, 4 from home

 

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy:

    • Develop and implement a marketing strategy aligned with organisational goals

    • Lead multi-channel campaigns to increase member acquisition, retention, and engagement

    • Oversee content creation for newsletters, social media, and promotional materials

  • Event Management:

    • Plan and execute a range of events, including conferences, workshops, and webinars

    • Manage event logistics, budgeting, vendor relationships, and on-site coordination

    • Promote events through targeted marketing campaigns and member outreach

  • Proposition Development:

    • Develop compelling value propositions that resonate with current and prospective members

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure propositions align with member needs and market trends

  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead and mentor the marketing and events team, fostering a collaborative culture

    • Set objectives and conduct performance reviews to support team development

  • Member Engagement:

    • Develop strategies to enhance member satisfaction and engagement

    • Build relationships with members, sponsors, and industry partners

    • Responsibility for PR and media profile of the organisation

  • Budget and Reporting:

    • Manage the marketing and events budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources

    • Report on the ROI of marketing campaigns and events to senior management

  • Brand Management:

    • Ensure consistent brand communication across all channels

    • Maintain brand guidelines and oversee their application in all marketing and events materials
