VMAGROUP is partnering with a High-profile trade body within the travel sector to appoint a new Director of Communications.

The Director of Communications is a key part of the membership body’s Senior Leadership Team and works closely with the Chief Executive to ensure the development and implementation of strategy across communication, marketing communications and brand stewardship.

The role is critical to the business; a trusted counsel and requires someone with a confident, professional background across external and internal communications in a political environment. Given the current challenges within the world and more specifically within the travel sector, the role of the membership body is essential, to its members, consumers, media, government, and other key industry stakeholders.

The Director of Communications will be a mastermind of external communications; a spokesperson with a keen eye on maintaining the membership body’s reputation and brand. They will be a strong manager and leader who can guide, advise, and support through building close relationships internally.  They will be skilled in crisis management and present a calm, focused and logical position in reacting to the crisis challenges within the current and future market.
