We are the public body that helps people care for, enjoy and celebrate England`s spectacular historic environment. We protect and champion the places that define who we are and where we`ve come from. In this newly shaped role you will lead the strategic approach to regional and national communication. Placing public engagement and audience insight at the heart of all we do, you will be instrumental in fostering partnership working with the creative, cultural and education sectors.

Leading our Public Engagement Group you will be a key member of our Executive Team collaborating with the Chief Executive and colleagues to set our organisation’s objectives. In this exciting and broad role, you will lead our Media, Campaigns, Marketing, Content, Digital, Philanthropy, Imaging, Archive and Education Teams. Your success will be defined by how effectively we are engaging with the public and wider sectors.

You will be a communications strategist, with demonstrable experience of multichannel communications across often sensitive and political issues. You will have a proactive style and be able to inspire with your creative vision. The key will be your ability to deliver results under pressure and where resources are tight. Your experience is likely to include working at a senior level in a complex organisation.

Your contribution in this role will help to shape the future focus of our approach to championing the historic environment in England.
