The MSC’s vision is for the world’s oceans to be teeming with life, and seafood supplies safeguarded for this and future generations. Through our internationally recognised certification and ecolabeling program, well-managed sustainable fisheries are recognised and rewarded in the marketplace, through the leadership of our partners. Over 400 fisheries around the world, representing more than 17% of the annual global marine catch, are now engaged in the MSC program and MSC certified and labelled seafood products are now available in over 100 countries.
The MSC is committed to the principles of equality and fairness and we welcome applications from all communities. We do not discriminate on the grounds of age, ethnicity, race, colour, religion or belief, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation or disability. If you consider yourself to have a disability and need reasonable adjustments made during the recruitment and selection process, please let us know how we can help you.
Are you excited by the opportunity to bring engaging stories surrounding sustainable fishing to life, and sharing them with the public?
We are currently looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to ensure the effective delivery of digital marketing and web-based promotion of our work, including our UK & Ireland teams’ major campaigns.
This post is a unique opportunity to make an impact on the future of our oceans and become part of a global network of committed individuals who are inspiring real change in our oceans.
This post connects with many areas of the MSC’s work. Your working week will be varied; while one day you could be building and promoting new campaigns on our UK Website, the next you could be devising the strategic delivery of our latest fishery certification across our digital channels.
We’re looking for someone who has a real drive to connect with MSC colleagues and external stakeholders. We are looking for someone who is keen to get our message out there and help people discover the wealth of subject matter that exists in our UK and global program.
We need a dynamic team player who will be:
• an experienced Digital Manager with demonstratable skills in website management, SEO Optimisation, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems;
• able to collaborate closely with colleagues within the UK & Ireland team (fisheries, commercial, and Marketing Communications) so that our compelling and strategically important content can be developed and delivered across our UK digital channels and through other marketing ;
• an agile team player, who is as comfortable working solo on a digital campaign as they are working across a multi-disciplinary team, that’s working on delivering our annual Sustainable Seafood week, for example;
• able to understand and appreciate the environmental landscape and can get inspired by some of the feel-good aspects of sustainable fisheries.
