​I’m once again working with a leading trade body for independent community pharmacy to help them find a Digital Communications and Marketing Officer. This newly created role would suit someone with prior digital content creation experience within a similar high-profile organisation. You will need to be on site in St Albans 2 times a week. This role is full-time and permanent.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-create web content, which works across all devices, in partnership with web authors and web champions around the organisation, using experience and knowledge of digital content creation and architecture

  • Effectively promote the organisation’s communications and marketing messages via the website, social media channels and all-member emails.

  • Support the work of the Digital Team by maintaining and administering the website and other digital channels.

  • Develop social media campaigns to support communications and marketing objectives, identifying the most appropriate mix of channels to engage the audience in the most effective way.

  • Manage the creation of digital assets such as video, podcasts, infographics, and social media banners, ensuring these assets are produced to a high quality, on brand, and in the most effective way to meet communications and marketing goals.

  • Play a leading role in digital campaigns, advising on the best approach and leading on implementation.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of maintaining large, complex websites, including approving content and making sure in-house web guidelines are followed.

  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) and accessibility principles for desktop and mobile websites and experience of conducting user testing sessions to improve user experience.

  • Experience of developing and executing successful social media campaigns to support a complex organisation’s communications priorities.

  • Knowledge of digital marketing techniques and tracking processes.
