Jack at VMA Group is seeking out a digital native who has a love for social media, analytically focused with a commercial mindset.

As a Digital & Social Media Specialist, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a brand’s online presence through various social channels (i.e. Instagram, etc). Their duties include developing engaging content, create an online community for the brand, and create an online image that is representative of the brand and what it aims to promote. Also, the Social Media Specialist will be in charge of brand messaging and engagement with customers online through content copy, blog posts, and comment sections, so an understanding of the company voice and ideal customer is key.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Developing a marketing strategy for social media and executing on the strategy.

• Creating a brand persona through the brand’s online channels.

• Developing content to increase community engagement.

• Analysing social media metrics to measure the success of content and adjust strategies accordingly.

• Respond to customer queries through social networks

• Creating social media ad campaigns that will generate sales/leads

• Working with relevant influencers or complementary brands to grow the company’s social following organically

• Staying up to date with industry trends and social media platforms to ensure the company’s social media presence remains relevant and effective.

• Suggesting new channels to test based on our target market as well as developing related strategy and content.


• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience within social media management.

• Solid SEO knowledge

• Working knowledge of creating, scheduling, and measuring the performance of social content.

• Comfortable with customer service, as social media specialist will be the one responding to customers who engage through social media tags or posts.

• Creative thinking with a passion for community building and engagement.

• Experience in content creation and project management.

• Knowledge of how to make engaging content to drive brand awareness, generate leads, and connect with audiences.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Advanced knowledge of social media best practices, analytics, and advertising

• Ability to take initiative and problem solve independently.

• Basic graphic design skills or knowledge of design will be necessary for the content creation side, track performance, measure success, and schedule content.

• Meet tight deadlines in a timely manner and prioritise urgent requests.
