A leading global alternative asset manager is a looking for a Corporate Communications manager to join their team. A newly created role as a result of significant recent growth in Europe, this role will involve the development and execution of strategic communications plans and the successful candidate will work proactively with the media a to support business goals and raise its overall profile in Europe. This role is for someone with exceptional written communication and interpersonal skills and offers an excellent opportunity for career development and growth in a highly dynamic and evolving work environment.
Key responsibilities:
Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with European, global and trade media outlets
Writing, editing and proofreading media materials, including the creation of press releases, talking points, Q&A documents, and speaking notes for senior executives
Help develop and implement strategic communications plans
Collating media reports and helping to maintain a database of active and relevant media contacts
Build relationships across the global business, including senior leadership, the wider global corporate communications team, investor relations and M&A teams
Work with the M&A teams and external advisors on transaction communications, including developing deal microsites
Research and recommend speaking and award opportunities
Support and advise portfolio companies on communications where required
Work with vendors on special projects such as content creation for marketing purposes
Identify, recommend, and generate European content for social media channels
Contribute to internal communications initiatives as needed
Skills and experience required:
Significant experience within a media relations or corporate communications role
Experience in Financial Services is essential, and within the asset management or private equity space is preferred
Ability to collaborate extensively with colleagues at all levels and locations of the business to deliver effective end products
Excellent interpersonal and superior oral and written communication skills
Highly organized, with strong attention to detail and able to deliver to tight deadlines
Ability to manage third party vendors to ensure project and operational timelines are met
Proficiency in a second European language is an asset
