An award winning FTSE listed specialist house builder and brownfield developer is seeking a Corporate Communications Manager to join their corporate team. This is a newly created role and a very exciting opportunity reporting into the New Business Director. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing and delivering a corporate communications strategy to promote the group as well as its various brands. The remit is broad, encompassing external comms, internal comms, media relations, digital and social media content.

Key responsibilities:

  • To develop a corporate comms strategy for the Group and brands
  • To take a proactive approach in creating and curating interesting news stories for external and internal audiences; these include print and social media as well as for the website and intranet
  • To develop outreach opportunities to promote the brand / attend appropriate forums and events
  • Maintain good relationships with external agencies
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams

Requirements for the role:

  • Ideally, experience in the housing, construction and / or related industries
  • Demonstrable experience in having developed strategic communications plans
  • Experience of using communication and marketing tools and techniques to increase the visibility, profile and reputation of an organisation
  • A solid understanding of social media and experience of managing websites
  • Experience of measuring the impact of communications and changing strategies as a result of the findings
  • Experience of representing an organisation at external events
