Position’s main take aways:

Financial communications background or general external communications background with a good understanding of relevant financial variables.

Academic background: Journalism or related; Finance.
Must be an active listener, able to cope with different ideas and to bundle different inputs in a solid and coherent comms strategy.
Eager to go to a steep learning curve by guidance and training.
Responsibilities/tasks:
Design and execute a comprehensive press strategy, identifying opportunities and maintaining relations and drafting of press and news releases.
Manage crisis response and communications on critical corporate issues and initiatives that impact the brand or company reputation.
Manage media monitoring systems and framework, ensuring timely and appropriate responses on all public affairs and media issues.
Prepare detailed activity reports on coverage, opportunities, successes, and feedback from key stakeholder groups (analysts, media outlets) with recommended actions.
Develop strategic functional communication plans for the C-suite portfolios.
Manage governance on communication processes and execution globally.
Maintain the Group Communications planner to assure strategic and appropriate cadence of news and updates towards targeted audiences.
Collaborate with a global team with a content-driven, multi-channel mindset; possibly managing some direct reports.
Candidates at the lower end of the experience range will receive training and support regarding the above-mentioned points.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
3+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related field
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write and edit clear and compelling copy as a natural storyteller
Professional Dutch and English language skills are required
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
Some experience managing media relationships and developing materials for media
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to closely work with senior executives as a communications advisor on communications strategies and activities
Great project management skills, including time management, goal setting, multitasking and prioritization
Strong analytical skills and the ability to measure the effectiveness of communication campaigns and activities
Possesses a sense of urgency; is self-motivated and detail-minded
Ability to respond appropriately to difficult questions and requests on an immediate basis
Some experience working effectively in a remote team and with agencies.
