Are you a content specialist?
If so, a leading membership organisation is seeking a Membership Content Lead to head up the team and implement a cross-organisational content strategy that increases member awareness and engagement. Your primary responsibility is to oversee the creation of engaging, relevant and compelling content that can be shared across a range of channels, including website, email, social media and print media. You will report to the Head of Membership Communications and Content.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee the creation of (or commission) high-quality content, ensuring it reflects insights from members. This includes content in a variety of formats (including written, video, animation, graphics).
Management of the team responsible for website content.
Line manage, coach, support and guide the work of the content team, ensuring they deliver on requirements in line with individual, team, organisational and commercial targets.
Day-to-day responsibility for the content budget, ensuring all projects are delivered to agreed costs and on time.
Commission competition analysis and market research, and analyse existing content performance, recommending improvements as appropriate.
Provide editorial and content planning advice to colleagues across the organisation, including support and training as necessary.
Key skills required:
Significant experience in creating engaging and compelling content.
Strong people management skills, with experience of leading teams.
Ideally have a background in journalism or be able to demonstrate significant experience of identifying and creating compelling stories.
Solid understanding of latest trends and best practice in both creating engaging communications for web, social media and print.
Outstanding editing, written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to quickly understand complex or technical issues and translate that into engaging and easy to understand communications.
Desirable:
Previous experience of working in a similar role at a membership, trade, or regulatory body desirable.
Knowledge of the legal profession.
Understanding/experience of digital transformation and content design principles.
