The Role: Communications and Engagement Co-ordinator – 12 months FTC
Our client is looking for a new colleague to support the implementation and contribute to the evolution of their communications strategy by ensuring that the key messages are effectively communicated, the Berlin office activities are promoted to key audiences and working with colleagues in the London office of the Communication Team, co-ordinate communications activity in the Berlin office
Write a variety of different content to support communications and engagement efforts, including newsletters, website copy, event invitations and press releases
Assist the Communications and Engagement team in developing and implementing a communications strategy designed to further our client’s objectives by engaging with a variety of audiences
Work closely with the Digital Communications Manager to develop online activities and creative content across the company website and social media accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube etc)
Monitor analytics and create a range of reports to support evaluation of communication activities
Work closely with the Press and Media Relations Manager to respond to media inquiries and maintain relationships with journalists
Support the planning and running of press launches and other promotional events, ensuring that our client’s European office activities are consistent with others across the organisation
Provide translation of communication and engagement collateral as required
Excellent time management and organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrable experience in a communications or marketing role
An analytical mind and ability to think critically with high level of attention to detail
Exceptional writing and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to turn complex information into engaging and readable content
On-line and social media communication competencies and capacity to extend the our client’s outreach to external audiences by employing relevant on-line applications and performance indicators/metrics
Excellent editorial skills
A self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Familiar with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and capable of creating visually compelling presentations
Experience in the use of CMS - preferably Sitecore
German and English speaker with strong verbal and written English skills
Experience in photo and video editing
Knowledge of other European languages
Experience in similar positions in European institutions and/or agencies
