​Great opportunity for a Commercial Trade Communications Manager to join a leading business in the food & snacking industry that is home to well known and loved brands.


The purpose of this role is to increase awareness of the company and its brands with customers, the broader industry and trade media, in particular showcasing the company as a category leader in the industry.


Keys skills/responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute the Trade PR strategy for the business/its brands.

  • Manage the Trade PR agency and work with them to ensure implementation of trade PR strategy is aligned with business objectives.

  • Develop a commercial communication strategy, calendar and execution plan for Grocery, Wholesale and Convenience, including PR, events, strategic platforms and trade shows.

  • Develop relationships internally and work collaboratively across Sales, Commercial Planning and Marketing, Research and Insights.

  • Work with Sales, Marketing and Shopper teams to bring brand campaigns and activations to life for customers e.g. events/sampling at customers' HQs

  • In partnership with Commercial teams, develop category insights and trend reports.

  • Develop a toolkit and attendance strategy for trade shows, putting the customer experience first to win new business and position pladis as a supplier of choice.

  • Showcase the company’s community partnerships, Diversity and Inclusion activities and brand partnerships to customers and trade media.

  • You will have strong stakeholder management skills – building relationships with key stakeholder internally and externally.

  • Strong writing skills.

  • Prior experience working within a large complex matrix structure.

  • Proven Trade PR experience in the food & drink industry – this can be from ageny or in-house.
