The Role

As an experienced internal communications manager, you will support the day-to-day internal communications activity across the group. You will help align colleagues with our vision and business goals, and drive high levels of understanding, connection and engagement.

Outcomes of the Role

  • Help activate the group-wide colleague communications strategy, managing the day-to-day delivery of clear, effective and engaging communication across the business

  • Draw on the company narrative through end-to-end production, distribution and amplification of high-impact communications to key colleague audiences, in partnership with a range of stakeholders from across the business

  • Identify and drive activities that bring to life our company culture and foster a strong sense of community and connection among colleagues

  • Manage a modern and integrated mix of channels and content formats as you use them to execute colleague engagement campaigns, in-person and virtual events, and more

  • Develop and deliver communication plans that support a range of initiatives across the business, including change and transformation workstreams

  • Act as a trusted communications adviser to the business, supporting the communication needs of senior leaders while nurturing and building relationships on behalf of our team with all the necessary stakeholders

  • Work with the wider Colleague Communications team to maintain and regularly improve a rigorous planning, production and measurement process for the internal communications function

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Proven experience in internal communications roles, developing and successfully activating colleague communications strategies in large organisations

  • Tech-savvy and data-driven, with an ability to activate and measure campaigns factoring in a wide range of channels and formats, including SharePoint as well as modern experiences like social intranets

  • A solid understanding of and experience in creative production principles, with an ability to visually express content with minimal creative team support (including video and event production)

  • Great storytelling, writing and presentation skills, with considerable experience in crafting compelling narratives

  • Meticulously organised, very attentive to detail and highly flexible with changing requirements, with a proven ability to balance multiple ongoing campaigns and projects

  • A proven ability to influence stakeholders across the business

  • Experience in the Wealth and Asset Management industry, and more broadly in the Financial Services sector (this is an advantage, but is not required)
