A national education charity is seeking an Associate Director to join its corporate team. The not-for-profit organisation develops programmes designed to support teachers and school leaders throughout the education sector, to improve outcomes for pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. Reporting into the Marketing & Communications Director, and with several direct reports, your focus is on Brand and Content, playing a pivotal role in enhancing the organisation’s positioning, tone of voice, content and reach to stakeholders and audiences. This is a wonderful opportunity to utilise your skills in a purpose led organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the content strategy (including digital content, publications and events)

  • Lead on the social media strategy; oversee effective use of channels, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring and evaluation, to increase audience engagement and conversion

  • Lead the development and quality assurance of the brand, and the language and visual identity that help shape it

  • Work closely with the Associate Director of Marketing and Digital to maintain and develop the website

  • Provide strategic direction for external events

  • Manage trademarks and ensure that monitoring and evaluation is integral to every project

 Key Skills

  • A strong commitment to education and the non-profit sector

  • Experience in designing, delivering, commissioning and managing projects to deliver high quality outputs

  • Excellent copywriter, with the ability to quickly produce high quality work tailored to audiences and effectively delivering key messages

  • Experience of strategically developing content and social media approaches

  • Experience and skill in using and analysing data

  • Experience of creating and commissioning a range of digital and visual content

  • Experience of working with Content Management Systems, Social Media platforms

  • Experience of leading a team / line management 

  • Highly organised / ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and target-driven environment
