A leading global NGO is seeking a Social Media Manager to manage and enhance their social media presence. It’s a fabulous opportunity to join them at a time of growth and activity.
Reporting to the Head of Brand, Content and Partnership Communications, and working closely with colleagues in the Press Office, Digital Communications and Marketing, your role will be to deliver and measure successful social media strategies and campaigns. This is a hands-on role for someone who has the experience to define social media strategy, as well as the creative and technical skills to produce and measure campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic planning: develop and implement a social media strategy that makes effective use of all their social channels to communicate news and share engaging stories from our programmes around the world
Paid campaigns: plan and manage paid social campaigns, ensuring robust measurement and timely reporting for donors
Content Creation: work with colleagues in the Communications Team and around the world to write/produce engaging content in a range of formats
Content management: share responsibility for uploading content to their website
Breaking news: be prepared to flex content plans in response to breaking news; use initiative to follow/build lists of influencers, partners, and journalists
Analytics: use and measure engagement metrics
Key skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Graphic design and/or video editing skills, ideally with experience across the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of programmes and platforms such as Canva or Pikto Chart
Robust working knowledge of monitoring and measurement tools
Sound editorial skills/judgement
Track record of SEO and experience optimizing content for web and social channels
