​Exciting opportunity for a Senior Government Relations Manager to join a leading business in the pharmaceuticals industry. You will be leading on Government Relations/Policy areas across the Animal Health sector as well as wider Corporate topics.

Role responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and executing high impact policy positions and Government Affairs programmes across Animal Health & Corporate.

• Explain complex policy issues to internal audiences to strengthen understanding and engagement across the organisation.

• Monitor and analyse political and legislative developments, including government health policies and assess the possible impact on the business and reputation, providing insight and counsel in key business planning decisions.

• Direct, devise and execute strategic plans to leverage or mitigate upcoming changes and trends.

• Enhance visibility and give the business a prominent voice with policy makers.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key UK policy stakeholders to advance business goals and further develop the business’ reputation.

• Support engagement with the relevant Animal Health trade associations on policy topics.

• Represent UK&I within relevant government relations network.

Key skills:

• In-depth understanding of policy.

• A background in pharma is not mandatory, however prior experience working in a highly regulated environment such as manufacturing, engineering, energy etc would be helpful.

• Ability to build and develop strong business relationships of senior politicians and policy makers.
