A leading global law firm is looking for an experienced senior communications professional to work within the firm's Business Development team, with responsibility for setting and delivering the communications strategy for the firm to help build their profile. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production of high quality external and internal communications to help support, manage and continue to build on the delivery of the firm’s communications agenda.
Key responsibilities:
Lead, create and implement an integrated communications strategy for the firm incorporating external and internal communications, in support of the Firm’s ongoing strategic marketing and business development programmes and campaigns, thought leadership, internal communications and employee engagement
Drive the PR agenda and press relationships to build the reputation of the firm and its key stakeholders in the marketplace
Maximize the firm's thought leadership programme and coverage to increase their share of voice on key industry issues
Set the overall strategy and oversee the production of key internal communications to support the firm's global employee engagement programme, using their new intranet and other channels
Develop, evolve and implement an effective communications infrastructure of tools and channels that enable flexible, agile and creative communication
Skills and experience required:
Proven experience in a public relations or communications based role, ideally within a professional services or financial services firm
Strong experience and interest in PR, internal communications and the use and promotion of social media channels
Proven experience of working with the media, handling and managing media enquiries
Experienced in working with and managing an external PR agency to support an in-house communications team
Experienced in using digital and social media to support the firm’s ongoing strategic business development programme including marketing, sponsorship and thought leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organized and with strong attention to detail
Strong executive presence to be able to liaise, support, work with and influence senior leaders across the network to deliver the firm's communications strategy successfully
A team player with excellent leadership skills to support and develop the communications team
