Superb opportunity here to join a FTSE 100 business and one of the largest residential property development companies in the UK as a Senior Communications Manager on a 12-month FTC.
This is a plum role for an experienced specialist with first-rate skills covering media relations, reputation management, crisis response & issues and stakeholder engagement. Ideally, you’ll have some experience of the property, construction or built environment sectors as you’ll be leading communications activity for its building safety division, which covers meaty issues like fire safety and the structural integrity of sites older than 30 years.
With two direct reports, you’ll be instrumental in overall reputation management with responsibility for proactive & reactive communications and stakeholder engagement - including MPs, residents, leaseholders and customer care teams. Editorial skills will be paramount and although you’ll definitely need to know your way around a reactive statement or two and have all the tools to engage with journalists when crises strike, you’ll also have the opportunity (and need the credibility) to play a key advisory role for the Senior Leadership Team as the ‘conscience’ of – and spokesperson for - the business.
Perfect for a seasoned PR professional with broad skills, much of this role can be carried out largely remotely with occasional office time to suit the successful candidate in either a central London HQ or various hubs in key location across the UK.
