PR & Communications Executive

​We are looking to recruit a PR & Communications Executive to join a well-established and high performing team to build on, protect, and support our client’s commercial objectives.

In this position, you will support, develop and implement impactful communications programmes to influence and reach a wide variety of external stakeholders using a broad range of channels - including national and regional media, trade media and social media.

We are looking for the following experience:

Media relations– Along with the rest of the team, you will identify, build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists to help build the company’s reputation with national, regional and trade media. This will include proactively generating and attending meetings and hospitality opportunities during and outside of normal working hours.

Campaign development– In this role, you will work with the wider Strategic/External Comms team and across the Corporate Affairs unit to develop and execute proactive campaigns, activities and announcements that support our client’s company objectives, from tactical short-term opportunities to long-term campaigns. This will include writing/developing news releases, case studies and entries for Awards.

Press office management – Support the wider team by responding to journalists and other key stakeholders in the press office, managing queries and continuously reviewing a wide range of press, social media, customer and policy requests

Social media – Using your journalistic skills, source and develop story leads and other content using your contacts and tools to drive engagement.

Trend tracking and insight – watch trends that affect the business and are of general interest to the audience & use insights from these to inform and develop our communications activities.

Trusted advisor – Support the press office team and provide counsel and direction for incident management communications.Build and develop your internal and external network to be a trusted advisor

Content development – develop and maintain a wide range of external communications content, such as images and video, fact sheets and background documents.

Customer communications – whether for crisis communications or proactive customer messaging, the team has a critical role in reviewing and providing feedback on a wide range of customer communications.

An excellent writer, with some experience writing reactive media statements, features, press releases and content for social media.

Logical, curious and detail-oriented – the ability to analyse complicated situations and communicate them in a clear and understandable way.
