The opportunity

My client, a membership organisation based in the heart of London is looking for a Media Relations Executive to join the business on an 18 months FTC initially, with a potential to go permanent. This is a great opportunity for candidates within a busy in house media team or agency looking to join an organisation that is purpose led, with a sustainability focus and offers flexibe working/good work life balance.

Your responsibilities

Reporting to the Media Relations Manager, you will:

  • Develop media strategies (proactive and reactive) in line with the wider communications team’s objectives

  • Build relationships with national, regional and trade media as well as internal stakeholders including members of the organisation

  • Draft press releases and able to push news stories to relevant media outlets

  • Monitor industry and political activities for new media opportunities, and providing advise on best approaches

The ideal candidate

You will have experience in a busy in house media relations team or experience leading campaigns for multiple clients. You will also have built relationship with trade/national/regional press. Knowledge in infrastructure, building or sustainability will be advantageous.
